We have a simple idea here in the Buckeye State — only American citizens are allowed to vote in American elections. Thank you @CarleyShimkus for having me on @FoxFriendsFirst this morning to talk about our work to ensure non-citizens are not on our voter rolls!

Ohio is the national leader on election integrity, and that starts with our work to ensure our voter registration database is clean — especially from non-citizens.

I spoke to a group of immigrants last night who are taking classes at a local church to learn English. They are doing it the right way - earning their citizenship and eventually the right to vote. We’ll never cheapen their hard work by giving voting rights to non-citizens.

On this Peace Officers Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice to serve our communities. Their dedication and courage inspire us all to uphold the values of justice and safety. Let's take a moment to pay tribute to these…
